WBJEE 2016 Exam Counselling

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a process in which the candidates have the chance to mark the colleges for admission according to their preferences. Candidates those who score more than or equal to cutoff marks are only eligible to attend the counseling process, rest of the candidates are disqualified.

WBJEE 2016 Counselling:

WBJEE 2016 Counselling will be conducted for the candidates those who score according to the cutoff criteria. Tentative date for the start and end of counseling are first week of July 2015 and third week of July 2015, respectively. In counseling candidates will be able to mark the options for the colleges on the basis of their preferences.

The WBJEE 2016 Counselling will be completed in several steps:

•         Registration.
•         Choice filling.
•         Seat allotment.
•         Document verification.

Registration:

In this stage candidates have to register themselves for the counseling process via online. Candidates will have to visit the website of WBJEE and fill the details required there for registration process. Candidates must also pay the counseling fees while registering for the same.

Choice Filling:

After successfully registering themselves for the WBJEE 2016 Counselling, they have to proceed further for the choice filling round. In this process, they will be required to mark the options for the colleges in the decreasing order of their priority for admission, i.e., the most preferred college must be selected first.

Seat Allotment:

On the basis of candidates score in the exam and the choices filled by them, seat allotment will be done. Candidates must fill the choices for the colleges very carefully as it will fairly affect the choice of the college in which the seat will be allotted.

Document Verification:

Document verification is the last step in WBJEE 2016 Counselling in which all the documents of the candidates will be verified by the officials. If the documents are not genuine then it will lead to the cancellation of candidate’s admission.

 Things to Ponder:

·        Candidates must themselves attend the counseling and not substitute will be allowed.

·        They must attend the WBJEE 2016 Counselling as per their schedule so as to avoid any kind of inconvenience caused to them.
